8 Ball Lock Kegs FREE in Atlanta, GA Mtns or Western NC Mtns

I responded to the PMs. Seems like there are a couple of people interested. None actually local. I don't want multiple people from out of town showing up. I'll be offline most of today. But I'll check in this evening.

8 Ball Lock Kegs FREE in Atlanta, GA Mtns or Western NC Mtns

Normally, I would do that. But, I'm in the process of moving to a new house and selling another. I just want to hand them to someone.......

8 Ball Lock Kegs FREE in Atlanta, GA Mtns or Western NC Mtns

I have 8 ball lock kegs that I'm willing to give to anyone looking for kegs. If you are in the Atlanta area or the GA Mtns or Western NC Mtns, let me know. I opened a brewery and don't have a need for them. Some are dirty, some semi dirty and some clean.

Yeah, I have drains on both zones of each tank so I can capture glycol solution.

Hey Guys, it is really interesting to see the commercial variants that Nathan has introduced. I visited a brewery in GA last month that had his largest version. If my memory is correct, they had 4 units. Now that I've built a brewery with a traditional 3-pc brewhouse, unitanks and BBTs. But...

Is anyone using a Penguin Glycol Chiller?

It is the 10k BTU/hr that is important. Many people use the UBC 3/4HP chillers from Foxx equipment. I was going to buy two of those, but went with the Penguin. It should be more efficient. BTW, my brewery is actually in Western NC in the mountains. Hog Mtn Brewing is what I called my home...

Is anyone using a Penguin Glycol Chiller?

They are jacketed and insulated. Each unitank and BBT has dual zones. The unitanks weigh over 600 lbs when empty. I will have a traditional glycol loop using individual controllers and solenoids. This is a commercial brewery.

Is anyone using a Penguin Glycol Chiller?

I just got a Penguin 2HP XL a few days ago. I'll be using it for three 5bbl unitanks and two 5bbl BBTs. I was impressed by the assembly of the unit. They have now gone to all stainless cabinets for these larger units and I got one of the last non-stainless models which was $2800 including...

hgearle, very nice technique. I always dry hopped in the BIAC fermenter but did not do much purging of my corny kegs. I'm sure I introduced too much O2. But now, I'll be working with totally purged sixtel kegs.

I sure did. I got Tim Moore at Colorado Brewing Systems to build me a panel. I still need to get it connected. It looks like next week everything gets finished and I can get my inspection. I guess my 5bbl brewery qualifies as a nano system. Either that or the CBS control panels all have the...

3-in-1 "Boil Kettle, Jacketed Chiller, Conical Fermenter" by Brewha

Hello All, I have not posted anything here in a while. I actually have been putting together a commercial brewery. However, I bought a small 60L jacketed fermenter that can hold pressure from China for $1150. It is an amazing little beast. I plan to use it with my BIAC for pilot or special...

My BIAC is about to become a pilot brew system. I have teamed up with a winery and will lease a space from them and install a brewery. I'll be ordering all the equipment by August. I will use a traditional 3 vessel brew house though for that project.

    Starting a nano brewery

I realize this is now 4-mos old. But if you are still interested in learning what to do, I suggest you get in touch with Tom Hennessy at Colorado Boy Brewing. He has a course called the Brewery Immersion Course offered at his brewery and at least one other brewery in CO. I took his course at...

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone has seen this or not, so I'll post it. I was watching a youtube video about the Spike Brewing conical. The guy showed a gas manifold that fits the 1.5" port. It is inexpensive and I think can be used with a BIAC to (CAREFULLY) transfer under pressure. I have...

I went "pro" - What it actually takes to do so

Tasting room sales have to go through a distributor? Yikes. Here in GA, we had the tour rule where you had to pay for a tour but you got "free" beer and a souvenir glass. That all ended on Sept 1. Now, you can just walk into a tasting room and order a pint without paying $15 for a tour. You...
