    Wow!!! As always thanks everyone great info!! Also I entered my first homebrew competition just to see what it was like. I am waiting for the results but I'll keep everyone posted, as far as the results and my progress with the LHBS. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!

    I have been homebrewing for a little over a year now. I started with a Mr. Beer kit that was given to me by my sister-in-law and I was hooked immediately! After my first batch I was looking for bigger and better. Now I am brewing bigger and better but not great, it's been hit and miss...

    Clearing Cider

    First I would like to say thanks for all the info This forum has givin' me in my pursuit of home brewing. My current batch of cider is in the secondary and I am very excited about it. I do know clearing can take months for cider. Is there anything I can do to speed the process along?:ban:

    Well I started my first batch of cider and I am excited for the results, but I'm not getting the volcano reaction when the yeast was added. I fear I let it cool to a low temperature. any suggestions?

    Theoretically, If you had distilled spirits, what is a good tell - tale sign or measurement if it is safe to consume and not let's say go um.... BLIND!? I have been told, by burning a small sample and the flame is blue as in bar tricks you are in the green, but this doesn't seem like...
