    I would just pick them from the plant… got a few growing right now. I’m not ready for it right now, though. We had some bees given to us recently, so gotta wait for them

    Juice instead of water

    I made a mead years ago, but never got to drink it…sooo, I’ll say this is my first. My question is: is there a problem to use juice (like watermelon) instead of straight water? I’ll use blackberry as the main fruit… Sorry if this doesn’t make sense, I have medical problems with words anymore.

    it was just a thought. if i did it i would let the sourdough start on its own.

    what would happen if i tried using a sourdough starter as the yeast for a brew? anybody ever try this?

    Carbonating/Conditioning with Krausening Wort

    if i were to need 1 quart of krausen, how much yeast is used to make it? wouldn't too much yeast thin out the beer that the krausen is pitched into?

    Adding Orange Peel to Fermenter

    i'm thinking about adding orange peels to a heff. i planned on going to the store and buying oranges there. how do i go about preparing the peels? should i dry them in the oven? or, what else is a good way to make them ready for the brew? any helpful information is appreciated. thanks
