    New to keggin

Ok, thanks a lot for the re-assurance guys. I thought that would be the case but didn't want to hook up the beer and find out it's not the same. And as for my tank it's a new 15lb aluminum tank so I'm safe there. Thanks again

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I plan on brewing this for the first time tomorrow with a couple small changes. My LHBS doesn't carry vienna, so they subbed for munich, and I order my hops from hops direct and I can't see spending the $4 per oz for centennial. So I am using all cascade. Unless you guys would suggest using...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

So I made this again since my first attemp is un-drinkable so far. I am making it for an uncle that is comming to visit from march 13-20th. I brewed last monday and everything went smooth. My SG was a bit high, started at 1.048, and now, 10 days later it is down to 1.008. I am going to use...

    Amylase enzyme

I got some of this to use in a light recipe that I'm making for BMC drinking friends and family. I am just wondering how you add it to the secondary? Do you have to mix it with a bit of water, or just dump it dry on top of the beer after it's racked? Any help is appreciated.:mug:

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

So I made a mixture of this with BM's CRC. I used cascade hops, 7 lbs of 2 row, and 2 lbs of corn. I'm making this for BMC drinkers, so I want it to be really clear so I plan on using gelatin. My question is when should I add the gelatin since I'm racking onto the AE? Do I need a tertiary...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

    When to re-pitch yeast??

So I made a new stout recipe on the weekend. The OG was 1.090. I pitched 1 pack of re hydrated notti, and it has been fermenting vigorously for the past few days. I have read that most people when brewing bigger beers like this will re-pitch some yeast to make sure that all the sugars...

Where to get Amylase Enzyme in the great white north?????

Thanks for the help guys. The owner of homebrew-supplies here in south west ontario ended up special ordering it for me. I ordered a blichman therminator and a march pump off him a while back and all my dealings with him were very good, I highly recommend them.:rockin:

Where to get Amylase Enzyme in the great white north?????

So I want to give a shot at the miller lite really triple hopped recipe so I can serve my non homebrewing friends something they will enjoy. My big trouble is finding amylase enzyme. Any of the very few home brewing supply places around here don't have it and don't know where to get it. So I...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

Hey guys, I posted a couple weeks back when my beer was only in the bottle for 1 week and had a cidery/ sour taste. Everyone said give it 2 more weeks and then chill and try it. So I just tried one last night after 3 weeks and a day in the bottles. It still has the same cidery/ sour taste it...

    American Lager Canadian Pils

Also, I just bought 1 lb of cascade(5.0%), northern brewer(8/9%), and us goldings(4.5%). Which one or ones would you suggest using for this? I will probably just hop it to the same IBU's as you did.

    American Lager Canadian Pils

Did you use a lagering vessel, or did you just do it in a carboy? I don't have a vessel yet, but I can keep it at the low temps. Thanks in advance.:mug:

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

Ok, thanks for the post. I ended up using just over 5oz of sugar. After I was done bottling, and there was a tiny bit of beer left in the bottling bucket, I took a small sample. It tasted quite cidery. Is this normal? I have had many other samples of my green beer, but never with the...
