    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

Great stuff -- I already had a set of Teensy 3s from the kickstarter, but was wavering in the Pi -- now I have it in hand. Have you considered isolation between the Teensy and RPI? Something like an optoisolator?

Stout Tank Owners -- need thermowell size

Just looked up the order I placed, I got the 2.5" 1/2" NPT thread probe for the boil kettle. I'm using Tri-Clamp sensors (in a tee) for the mash and hlt. http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=261

    Bolts Electric Brewery Build

Missed this before -- no problem sharing. My best guess puts me into this about $5k. That includes the electrical permits, running lines, sink, kettles, panel, all the stainless bits, etc, etc, etc. I didn't keep great records on the random bits and pieces, just the panel, kettles and stainless.

    Bolts Electric Brewery Build

I drilled and tapped the holes from the bottom of the heatsink. I also matched the holes up the 4 of the existing holes in the existing hole in the enclosure. Note, that the hole in the enclosure is normally on the bottom, but it works fine on top and I didn't need to patch the hole this way...

    Brewing Process Poster?

Sure, but i'm looking for one to save the time. Edit: This isn't for me, but for educating non-brewers.

    Brewing Process Poster?

Anyone know of an image I can use for a Brewing Process poster? Looking for something that's oriented towards simple for a poster to accompany a homebrew tasting and demo at work. Most of the material I'm finding is based on professional systems.

    Panel Mount RTD thermometer

Looking for the PCB/chips/mcu inside -- curious what they're using to read the RTD probe. No worries -- no need to break it :)

Pump in a box - Usefulness is questionable, but a fun little project

Agreed, I've been in contact with Mike and had a new pump sent. However, it had the older small impeller in the head and it still overheats. Great customer service, but not yet satisfied :(

Pump in a box - Usefulness is questionable, but a fun little project

How is this not overheating? I've had nothing but difficulty with my chugger pumps tripping the thermal saftey. I have to keep a box fan blowing on them to supplement the built in fan.

    Keg conditioning a hefe?

Random tip: to avoid a crystal-weizen, I was told to store my hefe's upside down. Kind of hard with corny kegs, but try keeping the yeast in suspension.

Anyone tried a solid false bottom for whirlpooling in a bottom-drain keggle

Zach over at StainlessBrewing.com is now selling stainless hop spiders. I'm having an 8" diameter made with additional depth to reach fully into my kettle. http://www.stainlessbrewing.com/Hop-Strainer-Kit_p_123.html That combined with the Brewers Hardware trub filter looks promising.

    Panel Mount RTD thermometer

I don't suppose this is easy to do a teardown and take some snapshots of the guts? Curious what they're using, but not quite curious enough to buy one.

DIY PID controller - beginner Arduino project

The DS18B20 sensors are accurate to +/- .5° C (.9° F) and have a resolution of .0625° C in 12 bit mode. I'm not sure if the accuracy is a function if time/temp/etc, or if it's just a manufacturing result (i.e. does it drift while mashing or not). The resolution won't let you get beyond 0.1125°...

    Feedback on Pale/Munich/Vienna Pale Ale

Debating what this is going to turn out like. Looking for the maltier end of pale ales with some clear presence of the malt bill. However, I don't want to end up with overly sweet, heavy beer. My intent is to mash relatively low around 150 and hop it to around 35 IBU most of which is from a...

1.5" Tri Clover X 1" NPS Element Adapter and Stout Tanks & Kettles

Hi Will_M, The foldback element clears the side and has about 5" before it hits the other side of the pot. It shouldn't be an issue whether you use the Brewers's Hardware element adapter of the included threaded adapter. The included adapter (I'm not using).

Need a pump for CIP Spray Ball from Stpats

How are you getting this to work? It only has a 1.4 gpm flow rate. I just tried hooking one up to a CIP ball and it's barely trickling out

TriClamp Sight Glass -- any ideas?

I found these gaskets on McMaster -- Part #93185K71 .88" ID, and 1.38" OD and .093" thick. http://www.mcmaster.com/#silicone-sealing-washers/=j302gk They would work well with the 1.25" OD tubing that should have ~.9375 ID CG-703-07L 1-1/4" ± 0.040" OD, 5/32" ± 0.017" Wall

TriClamp Sight Glass -- any ideas?

I bought the original sight glass assemblies from brewershardware -- it's this one: https://www.brewershardware.com/TC10SG.html. However, what I'm thinking is more cost effective is to take an existing TC 90 as-is ($13) + a stainless flange of the right dimensions. The tri-clamp face becomes...

TriClamp Sight Glass -- any ideas?

I've been working on creating a new sight glass for my 20g kettle that came with TC ports for a sight glass near the top and bottom. Anyone have a metal lathe and stainless welding skills? :) After a brief lapse in my google kung-fu, I was able to find 1" Kimax heavy wall borosilicate tubing...
