    Sat it at 75F yesterday and it's fermenting. I know the temp is a bit high, but it's a 7-10 day wine and the taste doesn't matter much. Update: It's fermenting violently now so I guess it's working :) Update 2: No replies, I guess it's ok then. ;)

    Goes fermentation slower and slower?

    Hi fellow brewers! Trying to figure out when the fermentation will be finished. Brewing 5.2 gallons of apple juice. Started 5 days ago and the SG was 1.015 today. Started with an OG between 1.040 and 1.050 I guess. Will the SG be 1.005 in two days?

    My experience with the White Labs yeast bottles

    It says to shake well, and so I did. When I unscrewed the cap the yeast flooded, not so much, but since I didn't sanitize the bottle I had to roll the bottle around some drought roll paper so it wouldn't drip. Anyone else had it flooding because of the pressure buildup inside the bottle?

    What's the reason for a high FG?

    Weak yeast? The water? I ferment mine close to a washing machine. Can the vibrations cause it?

    Its fermenting at 75F now. Read that the preferred max temp is 75F. How high can I go? I don't care about it becoming of less quality. Brewed a few, but I have never used WYeast before (once but I paniced and added dry yeast 24h later), and never have I seen a stranger fermenting. Alot of foam...

    Coopers and 3.3pounds(1.5kg) spraymalt. Got an OG of 1050.

    Shouldn't it have been higher? Measured it in the bucked after mixing well. Might be a little higher cause I measured it when the brew was 75F, and there were alot of foam. Let's say 1055, is that normal?
