    dont know if this has been asked in the past but just curious if anyone has come up with a substitute or a simple recipe for the solution we use to sanitizing equipment...when we first started brewing it was like $14/bottle and would last awhile now its $20....just looking for a cheaper...

    does anyone out there in brewland have a clone recipe for grants perfect porter? its been about 4 yrs now and i know the brewery has closed and you cant find it anywhere. so the next best thing is to make it. any and all help would be appreciated.

    well thats what i meant mill...i can do it at the homebrew shop where i get supplies. just didnt know if it would last a week or so..thanks for the info.

    if you grind up all of your grain for a 5 gallone recipe a couple of weeks before you actually brew will there be anything wrong with it? does it lose anything just sitting in an airtight bag?

    hey all this is tim from lousiville ky. new to this site and home brewing. just been doing simple 5 gallon extract batches and all has turned out well. building to do more and learn as i go.
