or precisely, how long can i wait to pitch yeast after brewing? my best friend and brew buddy lives in Austin some 200-ish miles away from me. we get together to brew at each others house 4-6 times a year, so if we brewed a 10 gallon batch and split it, will it be fine to pitch the yeast...

nothing wrong with picnic taps. i still use them in my 1 tap tower kegerator so i can have 2 more cornies on tap, til i can save up for a few more perlicks. but the downside is that instead of spilling a little beer in the drip tray, you are spilling it inside your fridge.

is there a consensus as to what models work easily and what are PITA? i'm currently looking for a freezer to start kegging, probably new but maybe used. from reading through this thread it seems Frigidaire and GE aren't exactly winners, and these seem to be the most popular brands in my area...
