Has anyone tried this to reduce foam (corney kegs)

Hi Guys Hope you are all well. Was just reading around on how to reduce foam when kegging. And saw this, not sure if anyone has any thoughts http://myadventuresinbrewing.blogspot.com/2009/07/too-much-foam.html (I don't like having too much line and I struggle to get the beer cold...

    Which keg for force carbing?

Hey Guys I currently have a king keg and although it can carbonate beer quite well, it does not seem to allow enough pressure. As the safety value just goes off. I am looking a doing quite a lot of force carbing and then botteling. Thinking maybe metal kegs could be the way forward? I...

Drinking my Graff... mmm it is good. :mug: Anyway when I make it next year would like to make it slightly less tart. What is the opposite of tart and how do you do it? The recipe says maybe darker crystal malt, would this help? Would not like my cider any darker if possible, not sure it...

Fizzy, Sweat, apply cider achieved :mug:

:tank: Been aiming for this for a while but think I have finally achieved it :ban: A cider that is similar to the sweet ciders you buy in the shops. What I did was 1) Apples from my own trees 2) washed and pressed 3) Added Camden (kill natural yeast and germs) and pecitolase (eats...

    Graff tastes slightly of yeast/wine...

Hey Graff cider has been much much nicer than my first attempt of just slamming turbo yeast in DJ with home pressed apple juice... Now I don't think it will take long to get through 42 pints ;) Just want to make it even better next time :mug: The taste is still not quite as clean as store...

    Cider tastes rank

Hi I made cider from home grown apples which I pressed my self. I used youghs cider yeast and did a 2 week primary, a 1 week secondary and then bottled it for 2 weeks. I knew it was not going to taste great after only 2 weeks botteling but it really was horrid. Tasted like gone off apple...

Hi I have just brought a job lot of stuff (2 King Kegs, Heaters, corker and more!) The only problem is the fermentation bins have solid lids so I would need to fit an airlock to produce my turbo cider in there. Is it possible to buy lids (in UK) for them with airlock holes or is there...

When do you plant hops in the UK and where do you buy them from. I have plenty of space could even start growing them in pots inside if that is what works best. Sorry if it has been asked before everything in the stickys seemed to be about US hop growing...

Which Bitter recipe would you recomend for someone wanting...

A weakish (3.5-4.5%) bitter with not to much of a stong taste. Kind of like larger but nicer. If anyone has tried "Stones Bitter" from Yorkshire or Abbot Ale from Kent then they may have an idea. There are many recipes on here - just not sure which to choose! Any ideas would be insane...

Home made cider press plans, photos and video. Amazing bit of kit

With bits of wood plastic and metal from round my house (Plus £1 worth of bolts I had to buy) I managed to make a cider press. After pulping the apples (2 buckets worth) I put them in a sterilized old pillow case ready for pressing. In the end from 2 buckets of apples I got one bucket of juice...
