    Shirron Plate Chiller - $85/obo

Selling my used Shirron Plate Chiller. Fittings and silicone hose (shown in last pic) not included, but willing to sell along with it (make offer if you need them). I tried using this with a gravity feed and it was just too slow. I highly recommend if you're interested in using this that you...

Keggle for Sale $150/obo - Std. Sanke w/ Stainless 1/2 Bulkhead - SHINY!

I'm downsizing my batches and going back to a KISS brewing technique. This keggle is a shiny (using Bobby's technique) keg with a BargainFittings 1/2" stainless steel bulkhead and a copper dip tube. Local only for now. I live in the Western burbs but work downtown in the loop. You can meet...

    Safeale US-05 for imperial IPA?

I've used it for 1.086 OG KBS clone (RIS) before and it worked great. I didn't bother with a starter, just pitched 2 packets (it's cheap and this saved the effort of a starter)

    Brewmasters Warehouse

Ed, thanks for the response. Truly means a lot that you're willing to take the criticism in stride in order to improve the process and keep your customers happy. I think rollinred is right, and maybe your speed in the past is what triggered my frustration this time. I've always assumed in the...

    Brewmasters Warehouse

I've placed about 8-10 orders over the last year and a half and this is the first time I've ever had an issue. Like my OP said, usually my stuff arrives within 3-4 days (GA to Chicago) in perfect shape, well packaged, even with a hand written note once. Plus they'll give you extra hops if the...

    Brewmasters Warehouse

I was operating under the assumption that my order shipped the day I ordered it since my credit card was charged. Isn't it common practice to not charge the card until the order ships? I was truly placing the blame with Fedex on this one, but reading the above, maybe BMW is the issue? I'll...

    Brewmasters Warehouse

Ed - I'm a loyal customer, never even bother shopping online elsewhere, and only use my LHBS for yeast, specialty grains, etc. now. I've noticed over the past year your order history tracking just doesn't work anymore. My orders say "pending" until days after they've arrived at my doorstop...

    Sam Adams Longshot American Black

I've met him at a monthly Goose Island tasting where he was giving out samples of this prior to the Sam Adams release. He's a nice guy, I can't see why he wouldn't be willing to share it, unless maybe Sam Adams has some legal right to the recipe now that this recipe won the Longshot. I'd be...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Thanks Hokie. I'll have to give it a try. Just dump into primary at the 2 week mark and dryhop for the last week?

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Anybody who successfully dryhopped this before care to share type of hops used, amount, when to add, and if its okay to just add straight to primary (I'd rather be lazy and not secondary). I did try searching thread for dryhop and got one person who said they did it, but didn't mention how it...

I sold it all for beer!

I love this post so much I'm suggesting we create a whole new sub-forum on this topic. How to successfully fund (and hide) your brew gear from the SWMBO. Epic.

Any Chicagoans want to get together to taste/critique?

If you're a hop addict try out Haymarket on Randolph. Opened in late December. I haven't tried the food, but I had a great server and most of their beers were very good. They lean toward IPA's and, IMO, do them the best of the beers they brew.

Homebrew Supply Craigslist Score (Northern Chicago Burbs) - Not Mine

http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/for/2302886708.html Quite a good find for somebody. He/she is asking only $80. Notable items in here include the glass carboy and immersion chiller. Everything beyond that is a bonus at this price. Hope this helps somebody.

    4th Keg in a 3 Tap

I'd add to squirt a little Starsan on the posts before switching around the disconnects. I do this all the time with no problems.
