Cheap & Easy 10 Gallon Rubbermaid MLT Conversion

I have the parts for this but in 1/2". What size braid can be use with a 1/2" female barb fitting that goes inside. Can you force the barb fitting in the 1/2" x 20" hose or the diameter is too little? . Need some help please. Thanks. It just seems to me that the 3/8" barb fitting is used a lot...

SS washer hose VS. CPVC/Copper mash tun

Thank you guys for your help and opinions. About the manifold I have to be honest, I'm lazy and the batch sparge way seems simple enough for me however I might change my mind later and go with the manifold. Thank you

52 Qt Coleman Xtreme Mash Tun Build

Sorry to revive this old thread but some guy suggested in other thread to use a 3/4 ss braided hose from a water heater. I've seen one at Lowes and looks really thick; I don't have any experience with any braided hose since I'll try to build one of this coolers for batch sparging for the first...

    Water Filter Setup

What about lead from tap water? Is it good to use a filter capable of removing lead as well as Chlorine/Chloramine or it depends in the amounts of lead from the water report?. I live in Indianapolis and in the water report it says we get lead. Lead: 10 ppb Copper 0.09 ppm

Irish Red Ale Quaffable Irish Red (Extract)

This recipe sounds great. I have some questions though 1- When you make the partial boil do you use half of the LME for the boil and half LME at knockout? 2- Will chloramine used by the water service be a problem? 3- Have someone here used Safale US-05 yeast for this beer? Thanks if someone...

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

So do you think keggles will use or need more gas to boil wort than a stock pot?. BTW the 82qt Bayou Classic pot don't have the bottom clad sandwich that other stockpots have.

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

I can tell you about the 82qt pot. It is thicker than the 62qt, has a decent hard wall; although no as hard as a blichmann or polar ware pot but seems to me sturdy enough, the bottom is imo not as thick as the wall sides, the handles are riveted, I think it weights about 22 pounds. Overall a...

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

I have a 82qt SS Bayou Blassic that I want to use in the future as a brew kettle. I see you use their pots for brewing. I have some questions if you don't mind. Did you weld the valves or are the valves weldless? How long have you been using the kettles and have you have any issues with...

The recipe is a partial boil and I want to brew a full batch and the guys at the brew shop didn't have Pale...
