    Placement of element

Finally decided to use a bazooka screen. I assume that I should put the bazooka screen as low as I can and put the element above it??? How much space should I leave between them? Wagon, I am assuming about 6 inches to be above the grain bed? Thanks, Danny

    False Bottom help

I have bought Bayou Classic 1036 pots to move to all grain electric brewing. Now I need a false bottom. This is where I need your help or ideas. The only false bottom I can find is from NorCal. I like it, but can't pay the $100+ right now. They call for a 13 1/2 inch hinged false bottom. Anyone...

    Another noob to ebrewing...

Yeah I said mash tun and meant BK. Reading your reply, I was wondering why we talking about mash tuns, then I reread my question. So, in you experience with a 3 vessel system, would you use a single PID and manual control the boil or would you add the second PID. I like this setup, but I have...

    Another noob to ebrewing...

Ok I have a question. On the parts list, it shows one temperature probe. Is the plan to move it from HLT to mash tun or does a second come with the PID. And what would the advantage be to add a second PID if I am running a 30 amp system? Thanks for all the help?

Houston Craiglist - 10 gallon system

My parents just got back to the east coast from that area. If they only would have taken another week of vacation...sigh. Kegs are getting hare to find and 15 gallon kettles are getting expensive.

    BCS vs PID

Finishing my brew shed this weekend. After email with Ryan from ebrew supply, I am confident in my decision to put a 100A subpanel and construct a 50A system. Ryan says he is very happy with his BCS. What is everyones opinion? What do use/like BCS or PID? What are the pluses and minuses? I am...

    Electric plans for Brew Shed

My wife bought me a shed kit for Fathers Day. I have it half put together. It is 10x10 and I have planned the layout. I need a little help or thoughts. My wifes grandfather is an electrician and will be helping me wire it. I am planning on going all electric soon. I believe that requires a 50...

    competition brew

I am getting ready to register 3 brews for a local homebrew competition. The first 2 are and Banana beer and a Cherry Wheat. I believe both would be in 20A Fruit Beers? And the 3rd one, I am not so sure. It is a Hefeweizen IPA beer. Would it be considered a Hefe beer or an IPA? Any help...

pin and ball lock Kegs for under $30

Sorry, been tied up the last few days. Kegs arrived last week. They were all holding pressure. They had no dents, only one had a label, 4 of them had handles in great condition, 2 had red handles that were starting to break down (I guess) they had that chalky feel on your hands. I have not had a...
