    Question about Sanyo 4912?

I have been hearing about the Sanyo 4912 as the main mini fridge to get to turn into a keggerator for 2 corny kegs. I found a place on line that has them still I was wondering if the Sanyo SR - 4912M is the same as the 4912. Or if the 'M' makes a difference or not? Any good substitutions...

    Transporting Wort

I wouldn't want to risk spilling a carboy or having anything with an air lock on it (where the wort could splash out or airlock fluid sucked back in). Besides in my area I would get a ticket for driving with an open beer (or the vodka in the airlock). Not only that but my friends house is about...

    Transporting Wort

I was wondering if anyone here transports their wort. I am mainly wondering how it would be done, if at all. Lets say you go to a friends house for a brew day. Either because he has equipment you don't have and/or you have equipment they don't have. So you help your friend brew a batch of...

What beer got you into this?

When I first started drink beer it was BMC, I didn't like craft brews. Then one day a few years later I thought I'd try a Sam Adams BL, I fell in love. Then I made it a goal to try all 20 something flavors of SA in a year, I did it with a month to spare (has to wait for seasonals). Then I...

Where to Begin -- Beer Tasting

I know that Sam Adams is not well liked on this forum but, I absolutely love Sam Adams Boston Lager. It was my first step up from the BMC beers (Budweiser, Miller, Coors). Another beer that I used to like a lot is Rolling Rock. I know it is not really a craft beer or micro brew, but I have...

Review the Pre-Hopped Kits (lazy man's beer)

I did not lager it, it uses standard coopers ale yeast (comes with it). I had it in the primary for a week then in the bottles for 3. If I could do it over again I would have left it in the primary for 2 weeks. As far as BMC goes. If you are making some for your friends, a "BMC clone kit"...

Review the Pre-Hopped Kits (lazy man's beer)

I did the Coopers Lager can for my first brew. I used the can and 2.5 lbs of corn sugar. I would personally rate it 2.5, but most feedback I've got from others would be like 4.5. It tastes a little sour to me from to much corn sugar. But every one who I have served it to really likes it...

Honestly I am so f*&#ing pissed about my beer right now

I have read How to Brew by John Palmer and The Joy of Home Brewing by Charles Papazian. The Palmer book was much better IMHO. Also, Stop moving your fermenter to so many places. You want to minimize the fluctuation in temp. Put it in your basement and leave it there.
