    I am looking to order a 10 gal. stainless steel pot from from Northern Brewer. Anyone have an opinion about them? Pot I am thinking about getting: http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/brewing-equipment/brew-kettles/megapots/10-gallon-megapot.html I might get the false bottom too.

    I have been looking to go AG, but it looks ominous to me. but you give me hope. I'll hit up my Local brew store and pick up a cooler dealio. I have everything I need to brew extract plus a few extras, ei wort chiller. Is there anything else I would need?

    I didn't think about that, might be worth a try. I was thinking about throwing in some granny smiths in, peeled and sliced, in the last 15 minutes of my boil and letting them sit in during the first fermenting.

    thanks for the quick reply. I have a nice place for it in my basement, so it can sit in the primary for 3 months undisturbed. So it's NP if it takes a bit longer to get started. Once it gets going I hope the yeast nutrient kicks it into gear.

    If I didn't have access to Blood Oranges, I would look for a sweet orange, like a Cara, and throw a small amount of raspberries in. well at least to me that's what a ripe blood orange taste like.
