I did it a few years back... very nice brew that lots of rave reviews. Fermented for 29 days before bottling. First bottle at 6 weeks and there may be a bottle or two left.

At that OG is that enough yeast or would you need to make a starter or small mead to build enough yeast to make a run at all that honey?
I got the same setup a couple of years ago. Do about the same as you with a small amount of bubbles forming at the top of the fermenter. I typically let it run for 60-90 seconds.. It seems to do the job but I’ve never measured the amount.
