Recently got a used refrigerator and want to try making a lager. The refrig. will only get to 45 deg.. From what I've read thats okay for fermenting, but not low enough for lagering. Am I still okay to lager at 45 deg.? Will it take longer?
New to making wine and wondering how to choose a type of grape to use? Is there a way to know how many pounds of grapes, per type, would be needed per gallon of wine?
Can hops be trained grow horizontally, the length of a picket fence fence? I was thinking of putting a piece of wood/standoff at each fence post and run a string line from standoffs to train on. Thoughts?
