    Pilot Light Mounting

Follow up: I noticed on the BG14 burners there is a 4th mounting location on this type of burner. For those of you that own this style, is this a tapped location? If that is the case this is probably an acceptable location for pilot mounting. BG14 or similar owners please chime in.

    Pilot Light Mounting

I am working on a rig build and doing some research. I am planning on using low pressure furnace valves from honeywell or the like as this seems to be a pretty reliable method. My question is how is everyone mounting their pilot lights? Are they mounted to the burner somehow? or is the...

Quick Question about Sauvignon Blanc concentrate

I just got a can of Alexander's Sauvignon Blanc concentrate today. My question is since the concentrate already contains sulfites do I need to add campden to the must prior to fermentation (reduce chance of bacterial infection or spontaneous fermentation) or are additional sulfites not needed...

    Shell and tube heat exchanger

I am really surprised that this is something others have not experimented more with. A pump would pretty much be mandatory since the higher flow rate of cooling water you can pass through the shell side the more wort you can cool in the tube side (ideal for large batches). Another key design...

    Shell and tube heat exchanger

I guess its sorta like the hybrid heat exchanger that Palmer talks about in his book but more like conventional single pass counter flow shell and tube heat exchanger. 25 feet of 3/8 OD copper in a CFC yields 353 sq in, correct? Well a shell and tube heat exchanger with 1 foot 3/8" copper...
