First mead = Fail so far, please help!

It might taste a little funky initially, but it'll certainly end up being a very sweet mead. That fleichman's will likely die off with more sugar left than the sweet mead yeast would have left you. But it'll probably make for a decent dessert wine.

No-Heat Mead - Fermentation Problem or Methodology Problem?

Yeah definitely wait it out.. Good mead tends to be more about patience than anything else. :)

    Stalled or Hosed

Hmm.. maybe give it a bit more honey. or some other more easily fermented sugar and see if it kicks off again? Easiest would probably be to make a cup or so of simple syrup (water & white table sugar).

    Vissani MVWC52B kegerator conversion

I know this is an older thread, but I just picked one of these up last night. Put a small PC fan in there and it's currently holding steady at just over 36*F (temp probe submerged in a glass of water), with the temp knob sitting about halfway between 4 and 5. EDIT: I had actually turned the...

    Habanero Capsicumel

This was a huge hit at a 4th of July party last night. I used 3# of Basswood honey, 2 habaneros sliced in half, sweet mead yeast and water to fill to 1 gallon. Sat in primary from when I started it (sometime mid-May I think..) until yesterday morning.
