My brother (the "T" in TandE) and I got our first batch in bottles last night. Smelled nice and hoppy. Cant wait till it has bubbles and is cold! I think we called it "I hope we didn't fale ale"!
Fellas, just wondering if one can leave a batch in secondary too long. I won't be able to bottle till monday afternoon. That will be 10 days in. Too long? Will it go bad???
I just brewed my first batch, but my "educator" uses smack pack all the time with a started. He also added that you should sanitize the part of the package your gonna cut, as well as the scissors you will use to cut them.
This is what I am using. Forgive me for lack of clarity, this is my 1st batch...
2lbs Light Malt Extract
3lbs Light malt Syrup
Fuggle hops all the way.
Wyeast 1028 (London)
