    Cascade seeds

    Hi I found some Cascade seeds in the bottom of the hop flower bag Does anyone know if planted will you get cascade hops or are they are cross breed Propagated hop? Like some apples if you plant the seed you may not get that apple. Cheers Daza

    refractometer

    Hi Im looking at getting a refractometer are they worth there weight in gold or not. I read about people having problems setting them up in promash and heavy particulate matter in the wort making readings wrong etc.. How do you guys find them? Cheers Daza

    Plastic and lagering

    flaked oats,, crushed oats

    Hi Is there a difference from flaked to crushed oats... I have a wit recipe that calls for flaked oats can i just buy some whole oats and run them through the mill ? Thanks Daza

    Grain absorbtion

    Hi a newbie here to all grain ..Eg if you have 4 Quarts grain absorbtion in your mash do you add 4 quarts to your mash water to counter the absorbtion? Cheers Daza

    Hoegaarden brewers???

    wort sour before boil

    Hi I did my mash the night before my boil to save some time. I tasted the run offs tonight in the pot and it tastes abit sour and nutty Will this go away with the boil and hops added etc.... Or have i done the wrong thing.... Cheers Daza

    mash tun size

    Hi Im all new to partial mash brewing. Im looking at making a mash tun out of a rubber maid water cooler . With this amount of grain in a recipe 2# 2-row 1/2# crystal, 1/2# cara pils. would a 1.65 gallon water cooler be to small. reason why i ask is thay only had two sizes 1.65 gal and 4.62...

    Dextrose monohydrate priming

    Hi i have been looking at bulk priming and they say for medium carb to use 90 to 140 grams for 23litres of Dextrose.. and on my Dextrose brewing suger it says not suitable for priming or second stage fermentation Whats up with that??? Cheers Daza

    Racking techniques

    im interested in your guys racking techniques im sure racking increases the risk of infection. Do you keen things air tight when you rack or just go to a open barrel. Do you open a look at ya beer in the Secondary or in this a NO NO I hope ya know where im going from :D Cheers Daza
