I'm interested in a group buy but those prices looked a little steep. I would expect most of that stuff to be around $1/lb or less after shipping unless the prices have gone up drastically since I last bought grain in bulk. What supplier is this?
others have. if you haven't ordered within the last year and you aren't a business they won't deal with you. I was kind of acting like I didn't know in the post above but all sources say they are cutting homebrewers off slowly but surely.
damnit! I can't guarantee I'll still be wanting to do this in 2 months b/c I want some grain SOON. but for future reference is it the same person organizing it every 2 months or does the duty get handed off?
nediver - I'll try to watch this thread but I don't frequent HBT much. it seems like your inbox is full but I'd like to give you my e-mail address to make sure I don't miss this. any way to do this?
I'm just curious - how did you come up with your ingredients? I've seen other clone recipes that are similar but the areas of your recipe that seem to differ from other stuff I have seen:
Candi sugar
coriander
grains of paradise
I've hard that they use cinnamon but perhaps that isn't...
Thanks Forrest - I've been searching for this as of late as I ordered some grains from you guys for a dry stout and I wasn't sure if the roasted barley I had ordered was correct.
In the brewing world this is THE Denny ;)
No offense to you of course but if this forum hasn't been graced by Denny's presence you are all truly missing out.
I'll be making my 4th AG batch this up coming weekend (I was doing extract batches for a couple of years prior). I'm located in Southern NH. Is your name in reference to THE Denny or something else?
