    What size fermenter?

    I have two fermenters. Both Speidel,one 7.9 gal and one 3.2 gallon. I'm planned to make a 3 gal Apple Pie Cyser. Is the 3.2 too small? I don't know how vigerous/robust a cyser fermentation would be. TIA

    Fruit bits in melomel after 1st racking?

    I racked my cherry melomel last week and there are some fruit bits floating around. Are these a potential problem and should I try to fish them out? Will they eventually sink to the bottom? TIA

    1st attempt at Mead

    Got ambitious and decided to try a mead[melomel]. Probably should have tried a 1 gallon first but already had the equipment for 5 gallon batches of beer so went with a 5 gal batch.
