    What are you drinking now?

I am drinking a pint of the new Hellbranch Dark Cider. Who am I kidding, it is Edwort's Apfelwein with a cup of molasses in it. It is awesome.

    Dark Cider

As part of a homeschool project, my son baked some corn bread thing with molasses in it. I enjoyed it with a pint of Edwort's Apfelwein, and it was an AWESOME combo. This latest batch of Aplfelwein I made, I put the rest of the molasses in the fermenter with the regular recipe, and I an just...

    Christmas Ale Brew Day!

This is a good idea. I am going to try this too. You think whole spices? Maybe split the nutmeg. What about a sweeter beer base? Or not worry about that, and leave it to the vanilla? S

Drew my first ever draft of my own beer today

After whatsitbeen ... 8 years of brewing? I finally kegged a batch of my Nice To Wheat You Ale last week. Two questions. The Keg Charger says "Never attach ball/pin valve to charger first!" So, I put the valve on the keg ... and all of the gas leaks out. I think "that's OK" because I am...

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. And I have to say, though I am not a hophead, it is one of my all time favorites.

Exactly what kegging equipment do I need if I am naturally carbonating my beer?

Hey, I have yeast farts, you have missing arms. We all drink, I guess. OK, so I am much better educated now. Thanks a lot! S

Exactly what kegging equipment do I need if I am naturally carbonating my beer?

Well, I didn't think I was making a CO2 tank at all. I was making the CO2 with yeast farts. Like in the bottle. Or do I still need CO2 to push the beer out?

Exactly what kegging equipment do I need if I am naturally carbonating my beer?

I am making a wheat beer for a conference in January, and I wanted to naturally carb it (add 3/4 cup of corn sugar and leave it for three weeks) in a keg. It just isn't clear to me what equipment I need and don't need. Clearly I need a keg. Ball lock. That's cool. Clearly I don't need a...

    Malt Bomb anyone?

At least you didn't drop it in the beer like I keep doing. I have a recipe I call Leaden Lager now because I've dropped the hydro in it twice. One ounce of Williamette isn't a lot, but I bet you will be able to taste it after it finishes fermenting out the sugar.

    should i be worried?

I've done this a number fo times and haven't ever had a problem. Once the tube is in place, a lot of the CO2 can escape easily, so unless you get a visible vapor trap in a bend in the hose it will look like nothing is happening anyway. I agree with Justibone. RDWHAHB.

    crazy noob question

Wow, that's a wild question. I guess you run the risk of introducing bacteria, but not much of you move fast. Are you going to add more yeast and ferment it again? S
