    Get a heat shield between the burner and cooler. I have almost 1' between mine and it gets toasty hot, yours is likely to melt.

    Favorite commercial beer? Just for fun!

    Currently have a case of Deschutes Hop Henge stashed in my kegerator, and usually keep a sixer of Deschutes Red Chair around as well.

    Black IPA

    Look up 'Damn the Man Black IPA' in the recipe section on here, I brewed 10 gallons of it earlier this year, came out excellent. Got many praises at our club meeting.

    Small update, even though their FB page has an address listed, they're not there, and no one in that area has heard of them. I did however, get a response from them on their Twitter feed, they are expecting to open a retail location this summer.

Interestingly, BTP says the OG should be 1.044 (I'm guessing because of differing brewhouse efficiencies), and I hit it dead on (first AG batch I've done that with).     Specialty IPA: Black IPA Damn the Man Black IPA

    Made this a couple weeks ago. I would say for the dry-hop, if using whole hops have them in for at least 10 days, probably 14. For pellets, 7 days should do it. I used whole, and didn't have quite the effect I wanted. Was quite the hit at our brew club meeting though :)

    Keg usage advice?

    cut the top out of at least one and use it for a boil kettle, I would suggest getting a bulkhead fitting for it, and a dip-tube.
