    oops, rubber stopper in primary, any help

    I had that happen on my first brew but it didn't give it impart any rubber flavor into the beer. I wouldn't even worry about it

    I wouldn't worry about either of those things as long as you kept everything sanatized after the boil was completed. I don't see any issues in skimming of the foam and I never strain my wort before going into the fermenter.

    FG not reached again

    thanks for the info guys it is probably my temp it has been hard to keep it at a constant 65-70 degrees with it being rainy and all over the weekend. it is a hefe kit. also it was only a packet of dry yeast should I be pitching more than just the one packet.

    It seems to me that my 2nd batch is going the same way as my 1st one. The fermenation took off like crazy for the 1st 24-36 hrs then immediately no activity in the airlock.
