Please help improve a very good IPA

I would just move to a pound of C40 and see if that helps. You could always mash higher and see if that gives you what you want. Hop bill sounds great.

    Noooo!

"Metallic flavors are usually caused by unprotected metals dissolving into the wort but can also be caused by the hydrolysis of lipids in poorly stored malts. Iron and aluminum can cause metallic flavors leaching into the wort during the boil. The small amount could be considered to be...

    Early Morning Brews

I am definitely more happy doing early morning brews. I'm normally done before lunch and can have the rest of the day to do whatever is on the agenda. Hose water temps are lower in the morning which is important in summer brewing.

    Ordinary Bitter Boddington's Bitter

This is a nice recipe. If I brew this one again, I'll actually decrease the late EKG to suit my preference for this style. Nice malt profile though. Thanks for posting this one. Definitely reliable.

What's the best way to dry hop???

Dry hopping a bucket (primary) is easiest and has never caused a problem for me. If you are worried about loss to hops, account for that in your recipe and increase the volume of grains.

    Show us your Kegerator

Yessir. She's much happier with this setup. Gained a spare bedroom in the process and its less creepy now when we have a party as folks used to have to walk right by all our bedrooms to get beer. Weird.

    Show us your Kegerator

Had a regular old full size fridge with taps on the door which wasn't worthy of pictures. It took up space in our spare bedroom which needs to be used, so I had to work out a solution. Moved the fridge to the garage and positioned it so I could run taps into the dining room for easy access...

    Beer line plumbing

Had to run the lines up the wall in the garage to the wall behind the dining room wall.
  15. Wallerator build

    Wallerator build

Had to move kegerator to the garage, so there had to be a compromise. Taps in the wall keep the beer handy.

Belgian beers, why do I not care for them?

I want to like them but they give me the sensation of gagging. I think it is a combination of the yeast and something in Belgian malt. It's like eating a whole bunch of bananas or something. I'm not talking about the hefe type banana flavor either which I also can't drink.

Whats the next best piece of equipment?

If you don't own an auto siphon, get one.

Not Buying BMC Ever Again... Am I alone in this?

Natty boh at an Os game, pbr or bud light like when it is a thousand degrees out and you just cut the grass. Miller light when at my neighbors house. Killians at some point in the fall. Guinness whenever I see it poured properly. Heck, I've even tried some sort of Budweiser red ale that was...
