    Doing my 2nd all grain right now. Brewing Hobgoblin clone by Orfy. Hit mash temp of 154. Collected 7.25 gal in boil kettle. Pre boil grav of 1.049.     New IC

    Made a new Immersion Chiller this morning. Used 50' of 1/2" copper tubing. Got everything at Lowes for $58.00 including tax. The tubing is $45.30 but I had a 10% of coupon for my total order.     1st all grain

    Today i did my first all grain brew. Simple recipe. 8.5 lbs 2 row .5 lbs crystal 15 1oz willamette for 60 min 1oz willamette for 1 min. Hit my mash temp of 52, did double batch sparge with 168 water. Everything went good except the pre boil gravity was 1.042 for 7 gals of wort reading...

    Hello from California

    Started brewing again after 1 1/2 years. Been brewing for 2 years on and off before that. Just do extract now but want to start doing all grain. Brewed a pale ale last week and a blonde ale today, might do a brown ale next week. Have to have something to do while unemployed. Jim
