    Do cartridge filters work for anyone? They aren't working for me!

    This is my filter And this is the result. My 1 micron filtered beer is on the left looking totally hazy. The beer on the right is for comparison, it's a commercial beer (Maui Brewing IPA). If I filter with a 1 micron filter should not my beer be clear? I don't think the cartridge system...

    Dry hop to counter extreme grapfruit

    I brewed a IIPA with all Simcoe. Way too much grapefruit.. tastes like tart grapefruit juice, not an exaggeration. I was going to dry hop w/ more Simcoe, but I can't handle any more grapefruit. What hop would be a good dry hop to counter or complement the grapefruit? Maybe something sweet...

    Can you open the keg lid once beer is carbonated?

    I recently kegged my first beer, a pumpkin ale. Now I want to add more spices and more lactose. If I turn off the pressure and vent will I be able to open the lid w/ out carbonated beer erupting out?

    Is this what 6lbs of coconut gets you or.....

    ...or could it be infection? I sampled after a week and it is at 73% attenuation. Tastes like the first two beers I brewed did at this point...except a lot more coconutty! But what the heck is up with this krausen? I added 6lbs of coconut to this porter in the last 15 mins of the boil...
