    Never had a NEIPA

Understood. It was definitely well thought out and provided solid background for your deductions. Carefully stated. To the point. Not snarky. I referred to it as a review because it was one. And a good one. The part where your wife liking it was not necessarily a good thing is what cracked me...

    What I "brewed" while drinking...

I would order that off the board at the brew pub for sure. “Skunk Works” would be cool too.

    Coffee maker with grinder

I have one of these German dealies… https://tchibo.us/products/the-tchibo Beans in the hopper. Water in the tank. Coffee out in the cup. Bit of a learning curve to get it just right. If you take your regular cleaning and maintenance seriously, it’s great. If not, you will hate it. I love...

    What I "brewed" while drinking...

Sounds like the type of situation that could result in a breakthrough brewing discovery of yet unknown styles beyond Neipa. A dart board with types of malt, hops and yeast on it would be cool. Throw a few darts and find out what you’re brewing today.

    Never had a NEIPA

Dude… that is the most honest and entertaining beer review I have ever experienced. The wife comment nearly got me a Saison sinus rinse. I have tried a lot of Neipas in the last year - mostly on tap - and I have found a couple that were pretty good - the last one I enjoyed was by Clown Shoes I...

    Pellicle Photo Collection

You could easily have convinced me this was a picture of methane geysers on the surface of Titan. So... how did it taste?

Is there a way to make some sort of smoke tincture to dose smoke character post fermentation?

I still stand by my theory of just adding a shot of Lagavulin to each beer.

Looking for Small Batch Fermentation Suggestions and Ideas

I have no idea how this stout might be affected via conversion to extract. I have played with quantities of darker malts and with hop varieties and I have changed but never improved it. The balance is the thing. I have never found it necessary to double up on Notty. If I'm doing something way...

Looking for Small Batch Fermentation Suggestions and Ideas

I bought one of these back when I did small batches. NB used to sell 3 gal choc milk stout kits that were the bomb. I've still got the brewing instructions with the ingredient list if you are interested. I don't think they are available any more except as 5 gallon kits. Best stout I've ever...

For Sale Anvil Foundry (NEW!), Two Fast Ferment 3gal, and other brewing stuff

I have never seen Anvil advertise a 3 gal Foundry. Smallest I know of is 6.5 gal. Is that a typo?

    Is this mold?

If it doesn't start swimming around or climbing the glass, I'd call it good to go.
