    Stone Cold Lead Pipe Lock'd N00b Advice

    Disagree with this one. Using a teaspoon medicine dropper and a sugar solution worked great for me and was very easy without the extra exposure to oxygen. I'll never use a bottling bucket.

    Thanks for the responses. I ended up bottling as is. It was drinkable, but not great. I'm going to chalk it up as beginners unluckiness and try again with an IPA and some Safale us-05.

    What Do You Pay For Extract?

    Just got my 50# bag of Briess pilsen dme from midcountymalt (The Country Malt Group) It was a bit of work to portion it into 3# freezer baggies, but it ended up being $118 shipped, or $2.36 a pound. I needed to call to order, as I didn't see it in their catalog.

    Thanks for the response. It's an amber ale. Just Light LME, and Some Crystal 60. Pretty hoppy, about 50 IBU. I'm using a 3-gallon glass carboy.
