    Recs Needed: Reliable DIPA Recipe

I don’t get a chance to brew often and need a good DIPA to keg before the summer temps start showing up. I’ve been relying on an old recipe for the original Ruination but I’d like to do something even a little different. Someone point me to a good reliable recipe to try. THANKS! All grain please

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

Holy crap! This was way too easy. Like I told my wife, this might kill me in a couple hours but the first taste is delicious! Raspberry sour following the OP guidelines. I may drink it all this weekend! I'm going to need a bigger keezer for different flavors.

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

No known sanitation lapse but not saying it didn't happen. Does this mean its ruined or should I just keep on and hope for the best. Dont want to waste time if it is going to be bad or even worse. Thanks

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

No, I used frozen straight from the bag as was advised in the original post. I went ahead and kegged the beer, from under. Figured I could try it. So, from what I see online, it's common with sours. Think I'm ok?

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

Help needed....first time sour brewer. Was ready to keg and this is what I found. Is this good or real bad? Used this recipe and added raspberries 10 days ago.

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

Probably going to ask this question in one of the other sub-forums also, but I thought I would ask here since some of you might tell be how you did it. What scale are you using to measure a single gram accurately? My scale has grams as the smallest increment and I'm not sure how accurate it is...

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

I’ve read the wiki about use of fruit. I’d like to put a little lime flavor in with some raspberry. The wiki says something like “zest can be used in addition” but it doesn’t say if or how actual pulp or fruit should be added in reference to citrus. (I’m new to fruit additions) can someone offer...

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

INGREDIENTS: 2/3 Pilsner malt. 1/3 Wheat malt. Aim for an OG around 1.045. No hops. Looking at several sour beer recipes, I see people using several different types of wheat malt. I see a lot of white wheat. Anyone use red wheat? Any opinions on that? Also, someone remind me what amount of...

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

Been wanting to try to brew a sour and this seems like a good easier way to get started. I put the recipe into "Brewer's Friend" and it looked good thru adding the US-05. At that point, it showed an OG = 1.055, FG = 1.009 and ABV of 5.44%. If I add the Sourpitch, the FG changes to 1.029 and...

High IBU West Coast (Old) Style IPA Suggestion

Any opinion on substituting Amarillo for Centennial?

High IBU West Coast (Old) Style IPA Suggestion

Long story short, I've been out of brewing for over 3 years (started with a flood and then family stuff). Ready to jump back in. I was planning on a Ruination (1.0) clone as it was one of my all time favorites and had brewed it many times, but my LHBS is short on Centennial leaf right now. So...

    CO2 tank/Regulator maintenance

My house was flooded a few weeks ago. I had a keg with CO2 attached in a box freezer that flipped on its back. My concern is with the CO2 bottle and regulator. I know the tank is always supposed to be stored upright, but when I found it later, it was laying on its side. Do I need to do anything...

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

Has the original recipe requirement of 1/2 oz crushed coriander been discussed? I brewed it with just over 1/4 oz and the coriander flavor is way prominent.

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

Without having to read thru 280+ responses to see if it has been asked already....Is the acid malt for water treatment only? Nevermind....scrolled thru a couple of pages and found my assumption to be true

    STC-1000 Kegerator Question

If I am using the temp controller strictly for a kegerator (i.e. chilling beer), is there any reason to even wire up the "heating" circuit? I could see the reasoning if it were being used for a fermentation chamber, but I'm in S. Louisiana, warming beer up is not a problem. Am I missing...

    STC-1000 -Brand?

Looking to build a temp controller. Looks like several different companies make the STC-1000. Any certain brand better it more reliable? Any to avoid? Thanks

    2016 HBT Fantasy Baseball

I'm still around. Been real busy with flood damage assessments for work. Looks like I missed the keeper deadline and I'll have to be on autodraft tonite as I'll be on the road again. I may be a little out of reach for the first couple of weeks, but then I'll get back to normal.
