    Hops up in Michigan!

Another new hop grower here in MI. I live out in the country where the deer and the rabalopes roam .Do I need to worry about deer and rabbits helping themselves to my hops?

    Kegerator hose clamps.

I like the oetiker clamps. I tend to build lines to use for as long as the line looks good and cleans to my satisfaction. So, for the one time use, no big deal. I got the nipper tool online when I ordered the clams. Works good and stays in the brew box rather than the tool box to keep it clean.

    very slow leak

My slow leak was hard to detect. Had to carefully submerge the regulator to just below the gauges (gauges not in water), let it sit while I had a beer and then watch for bubbles while I had another beer. work work work

I just resolved the same issue. Turn your pressure up. I went to 45 psi and found an ever so slow bubble.

Frustrated trying to convert Sanke kegerator

I just added the commercial to homebrew parts from kegconnections. No regrets. Order a few extra nylon washers for backup parts. http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/flared-nylon-washer.html

    Firestone Plastic Gas Tubes

I've drilled the post on three kegs now to get rid of the plastic dip tubes. work my way up to 21/64ths without any troubles and drop a steel dip tube in. 5/16 is too tight. 21/64 seems a bit loose but no troubles with placement or leaks

QD's on gas lines, or "Why didn't I do this Sooner"?

I used a Huffy Sports hand pump to make a keg cleaner. Unscrew the needle that goes into the ball. Easy to hook a hose and a stepdown to it for a gas QD. Small and fast. And I had everything laying around to do it...

Where to buy single gauge regulator?

Only way I have found is to be patient and shop ebay and CL. I just got a dual gauge regulator, steel tank and three cornys for $75 from CL. Just keep checking every few days.

    Minimum Equipment needed for kegging?

Wow, those seem to be pretty good deals at Kegconnections and Midwest. I've purchased two premium systems from Kegconnections and have been happy with everything. The Midwest setup has the added benefit of individual keg pressure. I guess check shipping costs too.

trade plastic gas dip for metal?

I just picked up three more kegs. Two have plastic dip tubes that are in good shape. I'd rather have metal just to keep everything similar in all my equipment. I have drilled one keg already to change over from plastic to metal and will drill these two also. So, if you would be willing to mail...

kegerator in un-insulated garage having issues

yep, the 40W bulb does the job. It was a very cold winter last year and the temp controller did turn the bulb on and off. The reason I went with a temp controller was to try to maintain temp as best I could. I'm still pretty new to kegging but reviewing the carb chart shows how temp affects...

    help finding cornie gas tube?

Thanks! I don't know how I missed that. I order from there from time to time.

kegerator in un-insulated garage having issues

I cut a small notch in the seal of the fridge door to feed the wire and temp sensor inside. Held the wires in place with a small piece of stick on foam insulation to fill the void. It's an old fridge that I got for free so no worries on long term issues.

    help finding cornie gas tube?

I've searched a few sites and cannot locate the gas tube for a cornie keg. I had one with the plastic tube. Drilled it out and took the tube from another keg to get it all set up. Now I need to replace the one I took from the donor keg and have no luck searching sites for this. Anyone know where...

kegerator in un-insulated garage having issues

Same situation here. Actually born and raised in MN. Live in MI now. I know of the cold temps in I Falls! So, last year I ordered a temp controller and set up a light bulb in a cage inside the fridge. I used a 40 watt bulb and never had a frozen line. You may need to get more wattage up there. A...

    Mead Bottling - Simple Question?

my only concern would be that you mention giving them away. I think it's really sad how everything (including a McDonalds cup of coffee) has to be soooo idiot proof that nobody could hurt themself. Please, I'm not saying anyone here is an idiot. Just stating my only minor concern.
