    Spade terminal max amperage

Voltage will be 240, received a free contacter with only spade connections. But it rated 30A/600V so I was thinking of adding it to my panel but a little afraid of the spades.

    Spade terminal max amperage

What is the max amperage for 1/4" spade connectors? I see contradicting information with 15, 24, 30 and 48 amp ratings.

    CO2 regulator connection

My brother in law found me a CO2 regulator in almost new state, only problem is that it's made for paintball tanks. The housing is a standard left hand thread been looking online if I can buy a connection for my 10# tank but no luck. Anybody know where I can purchase one?

Baby Steps: Using brewtroller as simple PID?

I probably go the Auber PID route first, and then expand to the brewtroller. Later when I get the brewtroller I will re-use the PID for fermentation or a kegerator.

Simple eHERMS, following PJ's diagram w/ only 1 PID.

No offence taken, good luck with your build!

Simple eHERMS, following PJ's diagram w/ only 1 PID.

There are probably good crimper's at Lowes or HD that are cheaper and will do the trick. The point I'm making is that soldering will weaken the crimp, google it if you don't believe me. My mentor always used the following comparison, you use a screwdriver for a screw and then a hammer to hit it...

Simple eHERMS, following PJ's diagram w/ only 1 PID.

To get a good crimp use a ratchet crimper with the appropriate die. This will make sure the connector and cable are "welded" together under the high pressure. You will never be able to apply enough pressure using a plier as it will just squeeze and create a space somewhere else and weaken the...

Don't solder after crimping as the heat and solder will weaken crimp. Just use a good crimper and your good to go.

    Camlocks and carboy's

Thanks for the options, think I will get a male camlock with a barb and create a 2' hose. This way I can create a 'regular' hose anytime by connecting it to one of the female camlock hoses.

    Camlocks and carboy's

Looking at adding camlocks when I get my pump, just wondering how people use them to transfer to a carboy. I will be creating a whirlpool using the pump and immersion chiller. After reaching the correct temp I will disconnect the whirlpool and move hose to the carboy. Will the camlock fit in...

2 Pole GFCI Breaker With 4 Wire Cord?

The two hot wires are connected to each pole of the breaker. The Neutral is connected for the GFCI. The ground is not used for the breaker of GFCI.

I've been using HWD Elements for a while now.

@p-nut: What do you have in place to stop the pump from running? I was looking at a vertical level switches for the HLT, they are rated at 220F and cheaper then a new element.

    E-HLT Woes

Great, never really gave the stock ring a thought, but it makes sense.

    E-HLT Woes

In both cases you would place it on the outside, you use a washer where the silicon ring fits inside so you can tighten it. See picture from TheElectricBrewery.com
