You can replace the ball valve with a 1/2" female pipe thread X 1 1/2" tri-clamp adapter. It will just tread right to the Blichmann weld less fitting. 13 bucks at St Pats

Very nice. What kind of temp controllers did you use? I've been looking for some that have a resolution of .1 F.

Here's a beer keg urinal I put together for a friend of mine. We mounted it to the back wall of his garage. I tried to use all the original keg parts so we cut and crimped the spear and cut a slot across the back. It empties into his storm drain. Now I just have to come up with some privacy...
