    Fermzilla Top Mount Tri Clamp

I have a Gen 2 Fermzilla, used for all my fermentations. I like it as it's easy to use and able to be moved around, as I brew in the garage but ferment in a basement closet as the room is a constant 68 F. I have just realized that I have been inducing oxizadation into my fermentation, so I am...

    Filtering between Fermenter and Keg

I am generally brewing Extract IPA's or Pale Ale's. Some are full syrup malts, some are DME's. I ferment in a Firmzilla, without pressure fermentation, blow off tube into a 1 gal carboy 1/2 filled with Starsan. From this I push to a keg, through a CO2 push into the firmzilla - direct into a...

    Batch #3 Is this Infected.

@RM-MN ; 2 weeks since I pitched the yeast. There is a Tilt Gravity floating in the 10:00 position in the krausen. I am planning to dry hop it tomorrow, it looks a bit different than my other brews. Thanks for the quick response!

    Closed Transfer Equipment

I built a kit similar to the photo. The Carboy cap did not have enough resistance to stay on once I charged the Co2 line - and I was only @ about 2lbs of pressure, I did not have a large clamp to put on the carboy cap, so it required me to hold it down for the transfer, All and all it worked...

Low OG - Trying to understand why

Thanks. I would put my boils more of a 4 than a 1 or 2. Next batch I will back down on the boil.

Low OG - Trying to understand why

New Brewer, I have now brewed my first two batches in the past 4 weeks. Batch One was a Northern Brewer Fresh Squished IPA, brewed with a Malt Extract Kit. In this brew, I know I errored and added all the Malt with the Grain (Baged) up front before the boil. This batch had an OG of 1.054, and...
