Has anyone here written (or do you know where to find) a pid library in Python than can easily be repurposed into new projects? I'm hacking up the raspibrew code I found for my own needs because I haven't tried to figure out how pull just the pid library out.

Nice build! Looks not overly engineered, i like. I totally get why you would do it this way, but the electricians here will complain about the male-male power cable feeding the thing. theory being if you unplug it from the chamber, you then have a hot cable dangling. Nitpicky....but...

regarding humidity - it's perfect for my area here in Colorado. We use a evaporative cooler for the house instead of central air.

i came across that video today and thought the same thing!! wonder if a smaller "cold" chamber and fans directing air in/out the fermentation chamber would work better - like some of you guys make for tubs of ice.

i had discoloration on an electric stove in my last apartment (and didnt get charged, phewwww....). We now have a house with a flat glass top stove that is mostly black. If i used it just for mash tun pre heat water and not the full boil, would you expect any problems?

i was worried about it being overhyped. but yes, it is worth it. i wouldn't do it too often, and i wouldn't stand in line every year for it, but every once in a while hell yeah.

Well i thought I read the zinc plating of the bits you find at big box stores can corrode and become dangerous? Cool that's what I thought. I have a false bottom on the way, thanks for the tip though!

I've had mine in a keg for a week and can tell i'm going to have to let it mellow out for quite a while. The taste is excellent but I don't personally like this strong of a bourbon flavor. I brewed 12/27/10 and followed the directions to the letter.

this is the only mention i can find on the board about these lift supports. My keezer lid won't stay up on it's own and looking for options. Those look like automotive parts? any tips?
