how best to clean a dirty blow off tube

I've use the keg line brush but with longer and wider blowoff tubing it doesn't always fit or cut the mustard. What is a man to do if he has played every brass instrument and never throws anything away? EASY, go to the basement and grab you trombone brush. Nylon bristles and wider and longer...

What is it and what's it worth?

Thank you very much topher, I saw the lathe for that price. I didn't know about the drill press. I will get more pics and info later today if I can squeeze in the time. The standing weight on the lathe is 2850 lbs. Without logistics in place a lot of companies would have left this stuff...

What is it and what's it worth?

I just started a business in NY and I'm renting an old warehouse where a previous tenant was and machine shop that made parts for planes. In the old warehouse they are some SWEET toys. Some of the tools are obvious like the lathe, band saw, and mill, I just don't know the value. The landlord...

Tip for extract w/ steeping grain brewers

Tip for extract w/ steeping grain brewers

I'm lazy, lets just start off with that, and I also like to keep my hands free while I'm moving around the kitchen. So I realized a better way to drain after steeping your grains in a muslin bag to keep from burning off your darn fingers. I used to hold the muslin bag in one hand and pour...

First Time home kegger, Sweet Painted Lady!

Yeah, I hopped all over that 72 hour sale, yes it has concluded for those who were asking. I love the manifold, I have a 4 way and almost got a 5 way. Ditto, on the picnic taps and take it or leave it this is what I did (although I didn't put the glass shelf back above the kegs though)...

Beer Line Cleaning System vs. DIY

I saw that and I was thinking I could probably do that with my pin lock posts (I have mostly pin lock kegs) pretty ingenious. Do you know what psi that gets up to DanH? Anybody use the draftec cleaner or the carbonator cap?

Beer Line Cleaning System vs. DIY

Okay so looking through all of the posts I have come to the conclusion that I need to clean my tap line. Sad though only because I knew this day would come and I'm cheap. Now I need for you guys to weight in on the pros and cons of the stuff I'm going to list and sound off on my comments...
