Pubs in the Miami/Coral Gabels Area

Sorry I was late on this one (really late). But, just in case you or anyone comes back around we have the Titanic in the gables which brew their own beer. We also have the Abbey in South Beach, also brew. And Gordon Beirch (think its spelled that way) in Brickell. Also, there is the Yard House...

    No fermentation after 4 days

Ok, I feel a little relieved, I popped a little peek inside and I can see a significant amount of trub that has gathered on the rim of the bucket maybe 4 inches above the wort. I guess fermentation did get started I'll be patient with this one and see what happens. Thanks!:mug:

    No fermentation after 4 days

Well, I didnt use it to begin with I usually use it at the end of the conditioning process before I bottle to make sure I have reached the desired reading so I would not know the difference of when I started. I can take one now, where should I be at more or less to know if fermentation is moving...

    No fermentation after 4 days

I brewed the True Brew IPA kit on friday 6/12. It is now Tuesday and no action in the airlock. I understand that the airlock should not be a gauge of fermentation however this is my 3rd batch and I have not ran into this problem. I believe the problem was I did not make a yeast starter for the...

    Perfect Brewing Supply's "Ober-Easy" Kit?

Its great you posted this, I actually brewed it on Saturday. I also wanted to get someone's input on what the taste is. This is the extract version so I'm sure there is a diff, but from what I can see on the internet, Bell's version is a very good beer. I have already made the Amber Ale clone...

Grain Steeping & Wort Aeration Q's

KDM, I suggest you copy and paste Yooper's instruction, print that out and follow. And just a little advice, take some time and look for a copy of Palmer's how to brew book. Its free on the internet. It has everything you need to know!:mug:

    hop pellets

Unless your recipe calls for dry hopping most of the taste and aroma from the hops will be sufficiently added in the boil. There really is no need to keep it in the fermenter for taste. Additionally, filtering the wort while you pour it in the fermenter helps to aerate your wort to keep your...
