RIMS Tube with Sight Glass and Oxygenation system (Possible)

Just as the title says, I am wanting to build a RIMS tube into my brewery, however at the same time I would also want an in-line sight glass on it. I was looking at the options and it's going to be Tri-Clover for the RIMS tube components and then Cam-Lock for the connection to the MLT/HLT. I...

    Tips for new Nitro Setup...

Any tips for setting up a new nitro tap? I have a genuine Guinness Tap (brand new), a shiny new No2 regulator and a full 20cuft tank with beer gas mix I think that's %25 No2 and %75 Co2? I know when I set up my Co2 I had to adjust the line length etc.. Anything like that for No2? I also read...

    DIY Oxygenator for Sankey Transfer

So I ferment in 1/4BBL Sankeys. I love them and currently to oxygenate my wort I transfer cap then shake the keg (as much as I can) to get some air into it. I was at the big box hardware store the other day and kinda came up with this idea. If I was to take some 1/2" ID Copper pipe and attach...

    How do my burners look?

Two BG-12's, they seem to be a little orange but on a test run left only very little soot and I am thinking that was from messing around with the air flow. They did take tap water from about 75 degrees to 179 in about 20 mins.

    Moisture in hoses after brewing....

So I have just built a single tier brew stand and did a dry "wet" run last night. Everything went well just one leak that was easily resolved. Anyhow this morning I go back to my garage to work on her some more and I noticed moisture was still in the hoses, obviously this was because I did...

    My Single Tier Strut Brewstand

Just wanted to start this thread as a way to document what I was doing not only for the forum but for me so in 2 years I can go back and look how much it might have changed. First off I need to say that I shamelessly took? Borrowed? Used? Copied? Ah anyhow, I saw this thread...

MLT Location on a Single Tier Question..

So I am currently in the process of building a solid strut single tier. The Strut was just ordered and should be here this week so I am starting to plan the configuration out in my head a little and one thing I would like some clarification on is why almost every positions the MLT either cooler...

First double brew day this Sat. Any advice?

So I have been slacking on my brewing, between unexpected life issues and helping my fiancee plan our wedding, I am about to blow my last keg any pour now! With that said to attempt to catch back up I plan on doing a double brew Saturday morning. What if anything should I be thinking of? I...

Want to add a stout tap to my Danby.

Did some searching to see what others have done but did not find anything set in stone. My question is has anyone drilled a second hole in the back of a Danby for either the nitro line or a second co2 line? It seems most people just put a splitter inside the Kegerator and only run one pressure...

So, SWMBO was helping me keg and....

Tossed 1 1/2 ounces of whole leaf Cascades right into the keg. I had my back turned and she asked "do they just go in the keg"? I responded with a "yup" and as I went to watch the fruits of my labor fill the keg I noticed them just swirling on the surface. In a calm voice I just kinda looked...

    New thermometer/sight glass heat shield

So i have been wanting a sight glass/thermo combo for a while now but was never thrilled about it boiling etc. in the tube. Last night I drilled some holes, installed the sight glass and thermo as well as made a shield out of aluminum stock. Turned out pretty good, going to give it a test run...
