    Possible to treat infected beer?

Has anyone ever sprayed starsan or some other sanitizer on the whitish layer that usually signals the start of an infection? I wonder if it would work? After looking at some of the infected beer pics, it makes me wonder.

    Bottling infected beer question.

Here's the deal, I've got a carboy with about 2 gallons of a DFH 90 min. clone that has a lacto infection. I wound up with a total of seven gallons( don't ask, it's a long story), so this little bit wound up in a carboy. Do I bottle and go through the pain of bleaching all my bottling gear or...

    LME swap at the LHBS

Howdy Ya'll, I picked up the ingredients for the Toad Spit Stout from uncle Charlies book. I didn't realize until I got home that the dude gave me pale malt extract instead of dark. Do ya'll think this is cause undue worry? I'm going for a really dark stout. What say you? BrewHerc.

    Hops removal from wort

Howdy ya'll, It's been a month or so since I did my first extract kit. After doing extensive reading (after the fact). I didn't filter out the hops from the wort. How bad of a thing could this be? My next brew was a partial mash that included instructions on filtering out the hops...

First attempt at PM, missing ingredient.

Howdy Ya'll, I'm giving the ole partial mash a try tomorrow. It's gonna be a Sierra Nevada pale ale type of beer. The recipe calls for 1 tsp. of Irish moss. The LHBS neglected to include this when I picked up the ingredients. What will happen if I go ahead and brew it up without the Irish...

    Good God Almighty, It's ready!!!!

My first batch is ready to bottle. It's been in the primary for 20 days. Stable SG from the hydrometer. Man, I'm not sure if homebrewing is for me. The waiting game just kills me. I think my solution is to have more primary fermenters to have multiple batches at the same time. I took a...

Very long fermantation with first brew.

Here's the deal, I treated myself to a TrueBrew Brown Ale kit. Everything went fine with the kit. After 7 days in the fermenter, I take a gravity reading which was 1.022. Almost no activity in the airlock. The recipe called for a 1.012-15 for FG. So I take another reading the next day and...
