Dark Mild Mild Mannered Ale (AG) (E) UK/US

So glad you revived this thread. I have been deliberating over which brew would be next, and I think I have just found it. This will hopefully be my first brew on the newly planned keezer as well!! Let me know how it turns out.

    Commercial examples of Sour Beers???

Not that I ever run out of good new beers (gotta love Portland), I am interested in trying my hand at enjoy a Sour Beer. I have tried a couple at beerfests, and have not had a great experience, but my palate has changed considerably since then. I now appreciate just about every style that I have...

    First pumpkin ale...pics

Looks really good. I've been really debating doing that recipe as well (all of Jamil's recipes I have attempted turned out great!), and this puts the final nail in it for me. Ordering soon...

Anyone mash an IPA at 160?

Everyone would be trashed! But in all serious, that's awesome. Lagunitas makes some very good beers. There IPA isn't crazy, it's a very solid enjoyable beer. I almost forget that I actually like IPA's from time to time, because everyone is doing these insane overly hopped beers. Restraint can be...

    Two beers stalling at 1.026

This sounds possible, but I did check the thermometers in icewater and they're correct, but at temps above 70deg I get 3 different temperatures on 3 different thermometers. Two digital and one analog cooks probe. And we're talking about 3-5deg difference at 150deg, so not majorly off. That...

    Two beers stalling at 1.026

Yeah, I did that and it is exactly at 1.000. I was really hoping that was the issue as well. I was thinking that perhaps the yeast didn't have enough nutrients in the crappy Spring Water I bought? Or the temp was too high on the IPA and crapped the yeast out?

    Two beers stalling at 1.026

I brewed an IPA (Edworts Wounded Knee IPA) 2 weeks ago, and a Stout (O'Flainnagains Standard) one week ago, and they both have stopped at 1.026. I hit the OG on the money on both, with an All-Grain setup. The IPA was fermenting really really vigorously after only about 4hours with a...

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

Just finished a batch of this. The hydro sample was great, and I hope good things are to come from this beer! Hope to have the kegging system going when this beer is ready!

    American IPA Wounded Knee IPA

I brewed a batch of this exactly one week ago. I hit 1.054 SG, but now it is only at 1.026 and the fermentation has completely stopped. It has been at this Gravity for about 3 days. Should I repitch some yeast? I think it may have been too warm during the initial fermentation, probably around...

    American IPA Wounded Knee IPA

I brewed a 5gal batch of this yesterday. It smells wonderful and the airlock was rocking at about 8hours after pitching! Talk about a fast starter!! Only thing that I adjusted was I had to sub Centennial for Amarillo, but that shouldn't be too big of a deal. I'm really looking forward to trying...
