    St. Sabastiaan Dark :D

I went to Jungle Jims yesterday to buy some good beer. I bought a couple of different things, but one stood out amongst the others!!! I'm not sure if anyone here has ever tried St. Sabastiaan Dark, but let me tell you, it's one of the best beers I have ever drank! Wonderful foamy head and the...

I'm working on a gardening site.

It's greenenatives.com and the forum is forums.greenenatives.com. Its definitely a work in progress, but, when I'm done it will have a main page, forum, chat, wiki, and maybe a plant database comprised of only plants grown by the members of the site. I could really use some forum members right...

    bud light wheat?

It may end up being decent. Anheuser-Busch was bought by the Belgian company InBev. They are the same conglomerate who own Stella Artois, Brahma, Beck's, Leffe, Boddingtons, Hoegaarden, Labatt, Löwenbräu, St. Pauli Girl and Tennent's. Alot of which are really great beers. Buds new wheat may only...

I had to leave for... well... Several months!! I'm not sure if anyone still remembers me or not but I've been working my ass of 24/7 re-modeling my house, working two jobs, and going to college full time. Not to mention all of the chores that come with living out in the sticks. The house is...

    Japonicus or Lupulus?

They're Humulus japonicus. You cant really wait for cones to determine what they are since Humulus japonicus develop cones as well.

Has anyone ever used this in a mead recipe? I can get it raw for $1.25 a pound.

    6.5 gallon carboy for secondary?

I don't think so. Some people may say that it can promote dissolved oxygen in your beer but I don't think it does. Back when I used to secondary, I used a 6.5 for primary and another one for secondary. Now I've come to realize that secondary really isn't necessary if you are brewing an ale. I...

Belgian Blond brewed, not what we expected.

Leffe uses a very unique yeast. I doubt anyone could make a successful clone without some of the 769 year old strain of yeast they use. I would also assume that it is very hard to get a hold of.

    To many hops?

If the top growth is bushy to the point that it is shading the lower growth the plant will recycle the nutrients in the leaf and use it further up. It may also do this to draw nutrients to produce burrs. Could also possibly be disease. Remove the yellowed leaves and put them in the trash and...

    To many hops?

It is very possible that you may be over-fertilizing. I have seen many people do this with houseplants. Since you are growing in pots, you run a higher risk of over fertilizing than someone would with hops growing in the ground. How bushy is your upper growth? Most plants shed their leaves on...

Japanese Beatles are Eating My Crop

You should be alright if you use a simple insecticidal soap. It can be used up to the day of harvest on almost anything in the garden.
