    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

I have 2 of these and they are great. They Make bottling easy to handle when by myself. The one time I used a regular one gal jug is the only time I have had a blow off.

    No Head in my beer

I have drank the last of my brew. It was cool to taste the difference as days went by. Head or no head, it still tasted great. New Years is my next brew day. I will be using my notes from your suggestions on bottling day. Thanks again! Allan

    No Head in my beer

Thank you for all of the questions and suggestions. Here is the recipe I used:12oz Pilsen light DME, 4oz Rice Syrup Solis’s Hops: 2g Lemondrop Hops Yeast:Safole US-05 There was 1 gal of beer that was mixed with 1oz of priming sugar. They were bottled in 12 oz longnecks that were washed...

    No Head in my beer

So I popped the top on my first ever home made beer. It is a American ale that was an extract brew. I bottled using the priming sugar that came in the kit. There are carbonation bubbles in the beer, just no head what so ever. I even “aggressively” poured my second bottle in a pint glass and...

Problems with bottling my first beer

I did this same process and it worked out awesome. Today was my first bottling day. I do have a bottling wand so that may have also made it a bit easier. After racking it to a secondary car boy there was barely any trub to deal with.

    Primary fermenter size

I agree with brewing small batches (in my limited brewing knowledge) I think it just makes sense. You don’t hand someone a .50 cal for their first shooting experience. Plus... I can kill a 12 pack on my own if it sucks. Beer is beer. It’s like sex! Even if it’s bad it’s still good.

    Primary fermenter size

Thanks. I downloaded Brewers friend it looks like just what I needed. I will take a look at the 3G Better Bottle. I figure I will keep the batches smaller until I get a good beer that I want 2cases worth.

    Primary fermenter size

Thanks. Definitely like the shorter fermentation times. Looking forward to making some good recipes. Is there an app that can convert 5 gallon recipes to 1 or 2 gallon sizes, or is it just time for math?

    Primary fermenter size

I literally just brewed my first batch of one gallon brewers best American ale today. I have made some mead in the past, but this is my first go at beer. I put the brew in a 5 gallon bucket that I have instead of the two gallon pale that the recipe called for. I think it should be okay unless...
