    Getting beer cross country

I am visiting a friend of mine who lived in San Diego. I want to get him some beer that he cant normally get, namely some Nugget Nectar. Maryland (where I live) prohibits the shipping of alcohol and I wont be able to take a bottle on a flight with me. Is there any way I can share the greatness...

    A good "dinner beer"

i need a nice beer to pair with my st. patrick's day dinner. I've already decided I'm getting Lindemans Framboise lambic (for the lady friend and I) and I want something almost like a wine. I'm thinking a Dogfish Head Fort.

    Call it blasphemy, but....

I tried Old Rasputin for the first time today, and I was not impressed. It tasted like the malts were burnt too much. I did appretiate the full body of the beer, but it just wasnt my fancy. But, I did try Southern Tier's Choklat. WOW!! It was like biting into a chocolate bar!!! I loved it!

    Head Retention

Upon reading a bunch of reviews on beeradvocate.com, and some people seem a little too adamant on head retention. I dont care about a beer's head. It just gets in the way when I drink IMO, but some some reason, some snobs criticize beers just because they dont have a big head or a good...

I need a good stout recommendation

I'm looking for a nice thick stout to sip on during the winter months. I tried the Dogfish Chicory Stout today, and it was pretty nice. I enjoyed the coffee-tastic finish on it. I do not like chocolate stouts. At least not Brooklyn's.

    hey

hey, I work at State Line Liquors in Maryland. I'm on beer crew. It has inspired my best friend and I to whip up some of our own beer for fun. We are in the process of buying all the gear needed, and we hope to be brewing by year's end.
