Zinc usage - amount for healthy fermentation

The penny isn’t going to dissolve, and a little copper won’t hurt. I’m just going to wire wheel a penny a little and try it. If it helps it will just be my secret weapon.

Zinc usage - amount for healthy fermentation

What about throwing a new US penny in the fermenter? They are 97.5% zinc, 2.5% copper (copper plated zinc). Buff the copper off.

    Who Held his Beer?

    Wow!!!!!

Inflation is an insidious economic disease. US Prices will continue to climb as the cost of material inputs, labor and transportation increase. Too much $ chasing too few goods. I ordered a 12 oz glass of Shiner Bock on tap last night. It was $8.50.

    Make IPA Clear Again

Again, by today’s standards, it’s sessionable. But you can label it whatever you want. Mox nix to me.

    Make IPA Clear Again

Not at all. My ABV on this beer is 6%. BJCP for American IPA is 5.5%-7.5%. My efficiency is high. Also, it has only been in the last 20 years that commercial brewers have pushed ABV on IPAs above 7%. I consider a session ipa to be 5%. More importantly, I like 6% beers. I want my friends driving...

How many recipe ingredients do you keep on hand

I find it difficult to throw old specialty malts out. They have been accumulating for years. But now it’s time to let go. When I belonged to a brew club, it was a totally different style every quarter and all the competitions. Now I brew for friends and family. A sack of 2-row and a sack of...

    Love Golf?

Sorry no pics. Living in the US desert SW now and just finished playing 6 of the last 8 days. That much golf is tough on my scoring. I think it’s more mental (lack of) than physical. Back to 3 days a week for a while.
