1 pound Hop Sampler for $8 at AIH

That's a bummer. Mine was a bit different. Got nugget, cashmere, idaho 7, nelson sauvin, ekuanot, cluster, warrior, and Simcoe noble as 3.3%

    Mango IPA

Glad you liked it. It's definitely more of a warm weather beer. Keep us up to date with any future attempts. Good luck with your Oktoberfest-ish ale and milk stout.

    Mango IPA

I do it this way for sanitation reasons. They say frozen fruit is fine to add, but I like these extra steps to ensure it.

    Mango IPA

I'm sure any tropical fruit hop would work here. Citra, el dorado, azacca, etc. Definitely keep the Mosaic. It works great in this beer.

    Recipe advice

I have 6 oz of El Dorado hops. I've never brewed with them before, so I was thinking of doing a single hop beer with 2 ozs at 15, flame out, and dry hop. I think that would make a pretty decent beer (still working on the grain bill). But I'm also thinking of adding an oz of Centennial or...

    Help with Mango IPA

I did a mango IPA recently that came out really good. I used store bought mangos. Peeled, chopped, and pureed in blender. Heated to about 150 for about 15 mins. Cooled then added straight into fermentor after primary. About 6 lbs for a 5 gal batch.

    Mango IPA

Yeah, I don't disagree, but between work and a toddler sometimes things just get pushed back later than I intend.

    Mango IPA

It had a slight mango tartness, but definitely not sour or sweet. It was more like a big juicy NEIPA. Definitely my best original recipe to date.

    West Coast IPA thoughts

Came out pretty good. Initial aroma is the funk of the Columbus. After a few more whiffs the citrus Cascade come through. The taste is simalar to the aroma with a little spice zing to it. Not as overwhelmingly bitter as I feared it would be when I messed up my hop schedule by happy accident...

    West Coast IPA thoughts

Thanks for all the advice, guys. My intention was to brew this with my original recipe; however, I made a rookie mistake. Instead of looking at my written recipe, I went with my memory. So instead of .25 oz per hop per addition I added .5 oz. So my new hop schedule end up being, .5 oz of...
