Sorry for the late post. Amazing box from @yoop89 I’ve torn through most of it already, but have a long business trip so the rest will have to wait a month 😬

Starting to feel left out of the mix because none of the offerings I am sending have labels. Ya'll put some of us to shame!

Just giving you a hard time...and hopefully distracting some from the really good picks with senseless banter 😝

True. You know, except for everyone else in the world that standardizes the time zones off of Greenwich mean time lol. Nah, in all seriousness: the US standardizes off of EST, we all know it; we just have 2/3 of the population rebelling against true standardization

Abs then one more comment for you all...I often have a lot to say about my brews but think it’s going too far, then I see your offerings and I think “I really should have said more” I’m excited for this round and whoever picks me will get something a local offering that you’ll never find in...

I’m also sad...I was hoping you’d pick me so I could return your bottles that I saved, with labels still in good condition

    Post your infection

A a quick search will show that this is Serratia marcescens, and while not insanely dangerous...it’s going to continue growing, and it is in the beer you just transferred. 100% dump the batch no if’s ands or buts. Then completely clean everything that could have touched that beer because it...

Unpleasant/bitter flavor on the back of my tongue from BIAB in AG batches, post fermentation

this is ABSOLUTELY horrible advice and practice. All yeasts have different attenuation times and temperatures. Leave an ale fermented with Voss Kveik for four weeks and you are 100% wasting time. Let a dry hopped ale sit for four weeks and you’ve wasted your dry hopping. I get it, you think...

This reply isn’t really a reply to you Lizard, but an update. Been racked into a secondary to see if it could have been potentially infected. Looks like he made it out unscathed.

    Post your infection

He sent me pics of high krausen so he isn’t lying. He told me his OG was 1.102, and it was at 1.060 after 2 days so I believe him wholeheartedly. that said, as you know and many other here know, it’s not uncommon for batches to completely finish in 1-2 days especially if using a kveik (sure...
