    Water Chemistry

    I have a question on the Chemistry of this Brew that im doing this weekend. If you look on the finished Water profile (in green), should it match the desired water profile.     Decreasing a recipe

    I have a question. I found a good recipe for an Octoberfest beer, but its 10 gallons. If i wanted to make a 5 gallon instead would i just cut the recipe in half or is there more to it? (I know its a little late to be brewing an Octoberfest beer right now but why not).
