    IPA Brew

I siphoned the beer from the original brew bucket into a new, sanitised bucket to avoid any or much yeast bits. I did notice that I transferred some yeast into the new bucket :S

    IPA Brew

Nope. There's some yeast at the bottom of some of the bottles, so I avoid pouring all of it. Just can't figure out why its not frothy? :S

    IPA Brew

I sure did. I've put away my final reading somewhere in the basement, but I remember it was at a good, steady reading for over two days before I bottled it. Instead of adding small amounts of sugar into each bottle, I decided to calculate how much sugar would be needed and added it and gave...

    IPA Brew

Hello all, I finally finished my first IPA brew a month or so ago and have been letting it sit under the protection of a few jumpers. I've tried two bottles since bottling and they defiantly taste like beer, but seem to be a tad bit yeasty... I left them for another week and put one in the...

    Bottled Beer Storage

thanks for the advice! I've covered them with a jumper, so there's no more light hitting them. Unfortunately I don't think I have anywhere that's cooler and is steady... What is the recommended length of time to leave bottled beer before you can refrigerate it and taste it?

    Bottled Beer Storage

Hello all! So I've bottled my first batch of IPA and have been letting them stand for 8 days in a dark place which has been a constant 20 degrees, I'm wondering if this is ok for the beer or if theres anything I'm doing wrong? Also, I was thinking of leaving the beer stand for around a...

    Cleaning beer bottles

Thanks for all the tips! Unfortunately I was only given the one bucket for the beer brewing, so I'm gonna buy a new one as well as a tube to transfer the beer from one to the other. I've attached a picture of the sanitiser I use, it's powered based and a friend of mine used it when bottling...

    Cleaning beer bottles

Hi everyone, I'm pretty sure my beer is ready to be bottled! I just bought 40 new bottles from the local beer brewing shop, he said they don't need to be cleaned but said to sanitise them first... doesn't that mean to clean them? I have a powder sanitiser which I used for my equipment...
