Let me see how a potential deal pans out to buy everything. I'll let you know after the Thanksgiving holiday week. If they're still available, I'd ask $500 for both. The Grainfather has an upgraded and modified sparge arm and Blichmann quick connect attachments on it. I'll let you know...

For Sale Lots of Corny Kegs (5 gal, ball lock) for Sale (Baltimore, MD)

I've been out of brewing for a few years now and I've got an entire well-equipped brew room to liquidate. First up, I have quite a few corny kegs for sale. They're all clean and hold pressure. I'm the original owner and they reside in a smoke-free home. Most have a label or white marker on...

    Grainfather cleaning

Also, as soon as you finish sparging and remove the spent grain tube, make a habit of scraping the bottom with your mash paddle so there’s less opportunity for scorching, lowers the odds of the fuse tripping, and will increase ever so slightly the vigor of your boil.

    Grainfather cleaning

Barkeepers Friend. It’ll also take care of any rust marks that develop. Yes, it’s mildly abrasive, but leaving minor scratch marks in your hot side equipment really doesn’t matter. Just don’t do that on a conical.

    Boil grainfather with lid on

I wouldn’t recommend it. Your boil is an opportunity to rid the wort of DMS and you’re not letting as much out of the Grainfather with the lid on. Boil is a boil—it’s sterilizing nonetheless and it is reducing the volume and increasing OG according to Grainfather’s built-in calculations.

Big day Saturday...kegging an American light lager for Independence Day and brewing version 3 of a black lager recipe. I can’t wait to taste it in 3 months!

Maryland Two SsBrewtech 7 gal BME Chronicals w/Heat/Chill

I have two of these conicals that are now a year old. They are the Brewmaster Editions with butterfly valves. They each include the following: -Chilling & Heating package (digital temp controller, cone heating pad, neoprene jacket, chiller coil, submersible pump) -blow-off cane -extension...

    Picobrew Z

I think it’s a great system. I’ll use it to supplement my existing brew days when I’m busy. I like how it’s a closed system insomuch as it pulls water for mash & boil from the kegs. Right now, I’m not sure at what temp it dispenses back into the kegs, but I’ll probably push to my conicals...

    Nice deal on Millar's mill

Another +1. Got it and love it. I’ve had it for 6 months now and it’s a workhorse. I keep the rollers tighter than recommended and consistently get a high efficiency with my crush on a Grainfather. Worth the money, it’s legit.
